NOA 5K Race Against Domestic Violence Run/Walk

The 2nd Annual Race Against Domestic Violence Run/ Walk was held Saturday November 7, 2009 at the Cottrell Ranch in Dahlonega. This year's event was a huge success thanks to all those who helped, participated, and sponsored the event. A special Thank You goes to the Cottrell Family for hosting the event!

The 2009 race was dedicated to all veterans, especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan. A special ceremony recognized Shannon Jenrette, the wife of Major Kevin Jenrette who lost his life in Afghanistan. Other soldiers recognized were; Jeremy Chandler, Mitch Young, Thomas Vitagliano, Charles Warren, and Paul Saylor. A moment of silence honored all our fallen heros.
