Victims of family violence need immediate safe shelter to escape violence and achieve stability. As a safe refuge, the NOA shelter (Betty’s Place) provides a place of safety, healing, comfort, and hope.
The safe, confidential shelter is available 24/7, year round as a key component of the program which includes provisions for food, clothing, personal necessities, medical assistance, and transportation pertaining to an emergency or to one’s well-being.
Every victim is provided an opportunity to rebuild their future free from violence and despair.

“NOA always emphasizes that you are a human being and you have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. They helped restore faith and trust in myself and others…Without NOA, I would still be forgotten. I am eternally grateful.”

A New NOA Shelter has been built – A huge thank you to all the NOA supporters that made this possible.
Betty’s Place, named in honor of the beloved late Betty Dunn, NOA’s number one supporter for more than 2 decades is open and ready to change lives! This shelter is a safe haven for mothers and children who are fleeing domestic violence. Betty’s Place gives these families a chance to rebuild their lives and receive much-needed support services such as counseling, life skills and parenting classes, safety planning, case management, legal support, financial assistance and more.
